I completely understand and support the idea of doing something if it works to solve a problem without causing another, and you can take that statement to the bank. Heck, I believe anyone with common sense should feel free to make that statement. How can I feel ok saying that, knowing that it can be used by a left-winger to push his or her cause? Well first of all, they never get anything to work; and secondly, their “solutions” have a nasty habit of causing more problems.
So, what do I plan to rant on during this post? Frankly, the idea that registering firearms with the federal government will help law enforcement agencies find criminals, or at the least, suspects. Did you know that in Hawaii, Chicago, and Washington D.C., where firearm registration is mandatory, multiple studies have shown that the registration of firearms with the government has not done much to help catch criminals?
What? I know it sounds crazy, after all, the liberals explained the problem of crazed gun owners and the solution of gun registration so well. Guess what America, they were wrong. The fact is that seasoned criminals know much better than to leave their firearms at the scene of the crime, and even the criminals who are just starting out are smart enough to know that they should not register their firearm.
What do you have left in the city? A handful of criminals who have firearms and ammunition, and a limitless supply of potential victims. Oh yeah, one more thing; you also have a group of liberals content with what is happening, and even more anxious to completely take away the firearms that the innocent victims have to defend themselves.
