I know it sounds too crazy to be true, but do not take my word for it, take a look at the facts yourself. By the way, these are not necessarily the same facts you can expect to find by reading or watching the liberal media, ; ). The fact that gun rights lower the crime rate has been around for a long time, you just need to dig deep into the “facts” that the right-wingers publish to really see what is going on.
The fact is that guns prevent approximately two and a half million crimes each and every year; that is almost seven thousand per day. In most cases, the gun is not even fired, the fact of possession alone is enough to convince the criminals not to bother. Guess what type of crime is the most prevented via personal guns for self defense? Burglary. Nothing sends a criminal who is intent on stealing your personal assets running like the sight of a firearm aimed directly at them.
Why on earth would the government want to take away the benefit of self defense against an attacker? Because they want you to rely on them and them only. If you are all for giving up your personal rights and letting the government take charge of your life, by all means forget about everything you just read… that is what they would want anyway.
