Do you know why the liberals tend to disregard any of the quotes regarding private gun ownership, even if they are made by famous leaders and thinkers? Because they hate the fact that they cannot change history even if they want too, and they are all to used to getting their own way. Well, I am personally thankful for the fact that these people existed and left a bit of common sense… even if it is a bit to much for our liberal buddies to handle.

“They are often ignorant that the purpose of the sword is to save every man from slavery.” -Lucanus 39 A.D.

“I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it.” -Thomas Jefferson

“Laws that forbid the carrying of arms disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.”                               - Thomas Jefferson

“Among the natural rights of the colonists are these: first, a right to life, secondly to liberty, thirdly to property; together with the right to defend them in the best manner they can.” - Samuel Adams

“Arms in the hands of the citizens may be used at individual discretion for the defense of the country, the overthrow of tyranny or private self-defense.”- John Adams
