As with anything else that liberals attempt to cry about… err, debate about, a few myths and misconceptions have arisen regarding the use of firearms in the United States. Of course, liberals being who they are, will not only reference these myths as fact, but they will go as far as to continue to claim these misconceptions to be one-hundred-percent genuine. Unfortunately, I happen to be someone who prefers true facts over fiction, and I am now prepared to blow some of these myths out of the water.Myth: Approximately 30,000 People Are Killed Each Year With a Gun
This one is a little tricky. While the number is roughly correct, the statistics are rarely explained. For starters, this applies to gun related deaths around the world, not just in America. This alone dilutes the situation. Secondly, most liberals “forget” to explain that 51% of the firearm related death cases in the United States are associated with suicide.
Myth: The Gun Industry Is Trying To Overule Government With Corporate Money
Actually, the total revenue produced by members of the gun industry is about 1.5 billion dollars a year: this is from your local gun repair shop to military contractors. That amount of money is no where near enough the amount required to buy political influence. Instead, the majority of pro gun rights legislation is funded by groups consisting of over one hundred million American’s donate to the cause of having their rights protected.
