Founder

My name is Frank Sciarra and I am the founder of FIREARMS FAX.  For over 30 years, I was a record promoter with Atlantic Records, Motown, and MGM.  I promoted artists such as Led Zeppelin, Phil Collins, Ted Nugent, Stevie Wonder, AC/DC, The Who, Stone Temple Pilots, and many more. I have been an avid hunter ever since my uncles took me hunting when I was 12 years old in Tioga County, Pennsylvania.  My interest in hunting led me to open a gun shop with my son Scott Sciarra in Montgomery County, PA while still involved in the music business.  The shop, originally called “Archery & Gun Outfitters” and later called “Gun Outfitters”, was open for 10 years.

I started FIREARMS FAX because, over the years, I have had 33 guns stolen from my home.  As a shop owner I bought and sold thousands of dollars of stolen guns, unaware that they were stolen.   So I am familiar with stolen guns as a gun owner and seller.  My intention is for FIREARMS FAX to help gun owners recover their stolen guns, to protect gun and pawn shop owners from unknowingly dealing in stolen guns, and to catch these criminals who stole them from us.  Stolen guns hurt everyone.  Most of all gun owners like you and me.  It affects us emotionally, financially and also hinders our right to bear arms.  The majority of stolen guns end up on the black market for criminals to obtain and used in the commission of crimes.  Unfortunately, these stolen guns give law abiding gun owners -like you and me- a bad name and law makers feel the need to enact legislation which will infringe on our second amendment rights. 

FIREARMS FAX is a powerful solution to the problem of stolen or lost firearms in the United States. Approximately 500,000 firearms are stolen every year in the United States, with many more  
reported as lost or found.
